Hello everyone! This piece is yet to be finished, however since we're all on a deadline, I'm giving a preview. The piece, so far, is only half of the face of a woman, and I'm proud to say it's turned out beautifully. However, I'm still debating what to do in the background, after I try Anna's inspiring idea of colorful hair. Any and all suggestions would be welcome. Thanks guys!

Hate to be a negative meanie-head, but the eye's small size, the misshapen temple, and the misplaced ear bother me lots. I like the nose and mouth a lot; shaded very well, it is.

Proportions escape me, yes, but that's why I dabble in surrealism where proportions (and nothing else) do not matter.

Ha...meant to say that proportions (and everything else) doesn't matter. Sorryyyy.

I don't think the eye is too small but do agree the the ear is too small, sorry I didn't notice that in class. I think it is more noticable here because you zoomed in on the drawing when you took the picture. The temple is misshaped if you had left it as is, but the colored hair is fixing that.
