My three criteria were color, contrast and non-objective. So basically I had the freedom to do as I wish on this project. I love doing portraits to that was my focus. I achieved contrast through doing the portrait in color pencil and making the flowers around her out of yarn and string. I feel this piece is not quite finished so any suggestions are welcome. This was a fairly easy project and I enjoyed doing it. Thank you.

I love your use of color! But how is this non-objective art?
I don’t know what nonobjective art is, so I have no problem. Love the color use in the portrait, especially how the warm orange and yellows contrast with the blue features of the face. It feels a little empty on the left but that’s the only thing I see. Nice piece.
Hey Kate. I love how you captured the girl's emotion. Also, the color....it's awesome. I can't decide if it might look better without the white space though....oh well. Anyway, it's great.
